ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF EPAYMENTS-WV STATE AUDITOR’S OFFICE-KANAWHA CO.
LOCATION: 1007 Bullitt Street, Charleston, WV
SALARY: $46,000.00 - $52,000.00
JOB OVERVIEW:
The position requires overseeing the daily operations of multiple direct deposit programs and debt collections, managing staff production and ensuring that policies, procedures, and deadlines are followed and met, assisting the director on various projects, and performing other duties as assigned. The position requires you to collaborate and communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders, including providing training and guidance. The ability to troubleshoot and handle complex, escalated, or time-sensitive issues and requests is imperative.
EDUCATION:
A two- or four-year degree from an accredited college or university in banking or finance, business administration, or related fields is preferred. However, 8+ years of related work experience may be considered equivalent to educational credentials.
ACCREDITATION:
AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) or regional ACH certification shall be considered additional qualifications for the position.
REQUIRED:
- 2+ years of work experience in banking operations or related fields.
- Excellent customer service skills with 2+ years of experience.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Must have a strong understanding of file formats and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Windows Office Suite, etc.
- Must have analytical, technical, adaptability, and critical thinking skills.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and be a fast learner.
- Must be a self-starter, highly detail-oriented, driven, decisive, and dependable.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- 2+ years of work experience managing payments operations or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in creating content and assisting in developing forms and operational schedules is preferred.
- Experience with the State's multiple applications is preferred.
