Qualifications:

Valid and appropriate elementary teaching certificate/license from the State of Ohio is required.

Record of good attendance and strong work ethic.

Evidence of good moral character as established in section 3301-20-01 of the Ohio Administrative Code

Knowledge of state competency models and learner outcomes associated with Ohio Assessments.

Proven ability to deliver evidence-based interventions at a high level.

Willingness to meet the needs of all students.

Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Ability to maintain confidential information.

Ability to use technology for data collection.

Willingness to participate in future training.

General Description:
Under the direction of the Principal and Director of Teaching & Learning, this position is responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions aligned to the district MTSS Framework in an elementary setting. The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to at-risk students. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.
Essential Functions:

Delivers evidence-based interventions through the MTSS tiered system of support that focuses specifically on individual student needs.

Utilizes a variety of assessment tools.

Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress.

Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systems
-
Attends professional development and training related to intervention programs and methodologies, staying abreast of current research.

Communicates as needed with all staff to ensure a team approach to problem-solving.

Helps maintain safety and security in the building.
-
Accesses and responds to electronic communication (i.e., website, email, voice mail,etc.) daily.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as responsible citizens.

Helps instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values.

Remains compliant with district policies regarding alcohol and substance use/abuse. (ie: PO 3122.01 and PO 3170)

Conducts all work in a safe and responsible manner.

Integrates technology into classroom instruction.

Maintains privileged information as appropriate.

Conducts other duties related to the MTSS Interventionist responsibilities as assigned by the Principal and Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
