Formax is currently hiring a full-time Mechanical Technical Support Specialist based in Dover, NH.
We are looking for a mechanically inclined Service Technician to assist customers with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving equipment issues primarily over the phone.
This is a hands-on, mechanical-focused support role—not an IT or computer support position.
The Mechanical Technical Support Specialist role involves providing support via phone/email/video to our resellers for a select group of Formax brand equipment. We are willing to provide on-the-job training for candidates who possess the basic skill set listed below.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical technical support and assistance to resellers regarding Formax brand equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues over the phone.
- Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
- Independently manage and prioritize service requests and support tickets.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Travel to client sites at least once per quarter for equipment installation and training sessions.
Our Mechanical Technical Support Specialists provide phone-based troubleshooting and support across a variety of Formax equipment, including pressure sealers, inserters, document folders, shredders, and cutters. Learn more about our product lines at www.formax.com.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Mechanical and electrical experience is required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven customer service skills with a focus on building and maintaining client relationships.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client visits (valid driver’s license required).
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in email and Microsoft Office applications, remote assistance applications…etc..
Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM
