Job Summary:
The Maintenance Apprentice assists in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and facility systems while developing the skills required to become a fully qualified Industrial Maintenance Technician. This role provides hands-on training in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with a focus on safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous skill development.

Assist experienced technicians with equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders.

Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.

Safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic/testing equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements.

Participate in on-the-job training and development programs to build technical skills.

Support production operations by responding to maintenance needs under supervision.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:

High school diploma or GED required; technical school, vocational training, or related coursework preferred.

Basic mechanical aptitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Ability to read and understand basic technical manuals, diagrams, and maintenance instructions.

Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
-
Good communication skills and ability to follow direction from senior technicians.

Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and work order systems.

Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and general maintenance safety practices preferred.

Basic understanding of industrial equipment such as motors, conveyors, pumps, and bearings is a plus.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance concepts is a plus.
