Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product recommendations on gardening tools, plants, floral arrangements, and outdoor equipment
- Maintain accurate stock levels through merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to attract customer attention
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and refunds while ensuring accuracy in retail math calculations
- Identify plants and horticultural products to guide customers confidently in their purchases
- Provide excellent customer service via phone communication and in-person interactions to address inquiries about lawn care, landscape maintenance, or product availability
- Support floral design efforts by creating attractive floral arrangements when needed
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked to ensure a positive shopping environment for all visitors
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience or familiarity with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Knowledge of plant identification and floral design boosts confidence when assisting customers with specialized needs
- Demonstrated organizational skills for merchandising and stocking products efficiently
