Casselton Veterinary Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled and passionate animal lover for Full-time Kennel Attendant position scheduled from 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday. Must also be able to work holidays on rotation. We are seeking organized, energetic, and motivated individuals to join the team with the Boarding and Grooming department at our Fargo location. Prior animal handling or kennel attendant experience is ideal but will train the right candidates. Must love dogs and cats and have the drive for customer service when interacting with clients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Handling, supervising, feeding, medicating and bathing dogs and cats.
- Interacting with customers.
- Answering multi-line telephone.
- Use scheduling software to create new client profiles, make or modify reservations/appointments, check pets in and out of the lodging calendar, and collecting payment from clients.
- Constant cleaning and disinfecting of kennels, equipment and grounds.
Requirements:
- Experience working with animals not required but is preferred.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Work as a team but at the same time, be able to work independently with and without direct supervision.
- Follow a detailed daily checklist and log activities when completed.
- Available to work rotating holidays
- Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
- Handle both dogs and cats comfortably and professionally.
- Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
- A customer-service based attitude
