We are seeking a passionate and energetic Breakfast Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting delicious breakfast dishes that delight our guests and set the tone for their day. Your expertise in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety will ensure a high-quality dining experience every morning. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, and specialty dishes, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, poaching stations, braising pots, and food warmers efficiently and safely
- Maintain strict food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and temperature controls
- Assist in menu planning for breakfast service, ensuring variety and quality while managing ingredient inventory
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipe specifications and presentation guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen at all times
Experience
- Prior experience working as a dietary aide or in a dietary department is highly desirable
- Demonstrated food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting with exposure to fine dining or high-volume production environments
- Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation for large quantities
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to maintain health standards
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
- Catering experience or experience working in the food industry is a plus
