Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Workers' Compensation legal team. We are an applicant firm who has specialized in helping public servants for over 50 years. Duties
- Handling the day-to-day of cases and hearings
- Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client representation
- Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings and court appearances
- Interactions with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
- Appearances before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB)
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the CA state bar association
- Proficiency in legal drafting and research
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Familiarity with medical terms and the ability to analyze medical reports and diagnostic records
-Familiarity with WCAB rules and regulations and hearing procedures
-An understanding of the California disability rating system
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
