Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. You will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience by assisting customers with their needs and ensuring that the checkout process runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Process sales transactions using POS systems, ensuring all items are scanned correctly.
- Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Follow all company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cash register operation.
- Basic understanding of retail math for accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not required.
