SUMMARY:
Performs maintenance and repairs on life support and general medical equipment. Controls maintenance costs. Insures patient and staff safety.
REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education: AA or AS degree in Biomedical Instrumentation or Electronics, or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 8 years of biomedical equipment maintenance experience, with 3 years of in hospital experience

Required License/ Certifications: Current ABM/MAB/CPI certificate within (90 days upon hire) annual thereafter

Possess extensive knowledge and able to perform equipment maintenance and repairs, on medical equipment

Capable of working unsupervised and can take ownership of tasks and projects

Capable of lifting 50lbs from the floor and 25lbs over head, standing for 2 hours, walking for 1 hour and sitting for 1 hour

Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language

Physical Requirements: Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
