The Construction Manager will manage all aspects of project management from the pre-mobilization meeting through project completion, ensuring a smooth pre-mobilization review, onsite mobilization, and project closeout.
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial solar projects after permits have been approved through completion, including final inspection, permission to operate, and commissioning, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, completed in a timely manner, and is up-to-date, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Set up, assign, and track project related tasks, primarily using Procore (project management system)
- Coordinate the delivery of materials, equipment, and resources required for project execution.
- Prepare for commercial project mobilization:
- Review and approve Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Work with Superintendent to create and update installation timeline
- Communicate with client about mobilization date and installation timeline.
- Lead pre-mobilization meetings with Superintendent, Foreman, Salesperson, and Wage Compliance to ensure mobilization runs smoothly.
- Coordinate pre-mobilization site walk for Foreman/Superintendent
- Schedule delivery of mobile equipment needed on job sites
- Schedule installation crews using dispatch software for full period of installation
- Support the Field Operations team with completing Punchlists, Observations, and Corrections during Installation
- Work closely with the Pre-Construction Project Manager
- Create and submit any Change Orders needed after Permit Approval
- Schedule and coordinate city inspections for completed projects
- Support NEM Application (Permission to Operate) paperwork and process
- Support project closeout documentation.
- Serve as the primary client point of contact, providing regular progress updates and addressing concerns promptly.
- Oversee the commissioning and start-up of projects, ensuring that they are operating as expected and meeting performance guarantees.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent required, BA/BS preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial project management, construction scheduling, supply chain management, and vendor relationship management
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software quickly, including proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, Procore, and Service Fusion
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- High degree of attention to detail, ability to prioritize effectively, and excellent organization skills
- Self-starter, motivated, and proactive with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with Procore is highly desired
Location: Riverside, CA or Anaheim, CA
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday (some flexibility with approval from manager)
Salary: $90,000-120,000
