Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and satisfied throughout their visit. Your ability to upsell menu items and provide attentive service will contribute significantly to the overall success of our establishment.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, presenting menus and providing information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, such as Aloha POS or OpenTable.
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while ensuring proper presentation.
- Sanitate tables, utensils, and work areas according to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with bussing tables to maintain cleanliness and readiness for incoming guests.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, processing payments efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure all guests receive prompt service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices in food service environments.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help team members when needed.
