NICU Our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a 10-bed unit providing specialized and intensive medical care for premature and critically ill newborns, caring for infants from 32 weeks ’ gestation through full term. The unit delivers continuous monitoring and evidence-based interventions to support respiratory, nutritional, and developmental needs, while emphasizing family-centered care and safe transitions to discharge.
Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Must possess ability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
