Toyota World of Lakewood is looking for someone to join our dynamic automotive dealership team as an Assistant Parts Manager, where you'll play a vital role in managing the parts department with energy and precision. Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment using advanced ERP systems and order management systems.
- Manage supplier relationships through negotiation, sourcing, and procurement management to ensure timely delivery of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and accessories.
- Coordinate demand planning and pricing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to assist with automotive service needs and ensure accurate parts identification.
- Supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operation and equipment repair, to uphold safety standards and efficient workflow.
- Implement inventory control measures using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to track parts movement and maintenance schedules.
- Support logistics activities such as shipping & receiving, transportation scheduling, and compliance with shipping regulations.
- Maintain detailed data entry records related to procurement, inventory levels, and order processing to support accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with dealership service teams to ensure seamless parts availability for automotive repair and auto body repair projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealership parts departments or automotive supply chain management with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, OEM parts sourcing, and auto body repair procedures.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, AS400, CMMS tools, and inventory management software is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, procurement management, demand planning, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with automotive diagnostics expertise to identify parts accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building supplier relationships and supporting dealership needs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, inventory control, and order management tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities confidently.
