We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive bids and support our project pipeline.
This role is ideal for someone who understands both takeoffs and real-world installation, and can confidently build bids that lead to profitable jobs.
Responsibilities
- Review plans, specs, and bid documents
- Perform detailed electrical takeoffs (labor & material)
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Build and submit proposals and bid packages
- Track bid opportunities and deadlines
- Work with project managers and field teams for feedback
- Identify value engineering opportunities
- Assist with change order pricing when needed
Qualifications
- commercial electrical estimating experience (a plus)
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems
- Experience with takeoff and estimating software (EBM, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
- Knowledge of labor units, material pricing, and job costing
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
