We are seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to oversee our drivers, delivery routes, schedules, and vehicle fleet. This position is responsible for ensuring every customer order is delivered safely, on time, and in full.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Distribution/Class A Driver Manager to oversee healthcare linen distribution operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in distribution management, transportation planning, and team leadership within a healthcare or logistics environment. As the Driver Manager, you will ensure efficient delivery processes, maintain compliance with safety standards, and optimize supply chain workflows to support our healthcare clients effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, schedule, and supervise delivery drivers.
- Plan and optimize daily routes and delivery schedules.
- Ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in full.
- Resolve delivery issues and customer concerns promptly.
- Monitor driver safety, performance, and route efficiency using Samsara.
- Ensure daily vehicle inspections are completed.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs to keep trucks safe, reliable, and roadworthy.
- Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
- Monitor fuel, overtime, maintenance, and other distribution costs.
- Train and hold drivers accountable for safety, attendance, performance, and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Active Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum five years of transportation, distribution, or logistics experience.
- Experience managing drivers and a commercial vehicle fleet.
- Strong scheduling, routing, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety requirements.
- Experience with Samsara or similar fleet-management software preferred.
- Healthcare, laundry, or route-delivery experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
This is a hands-on management position for someone who can lead drivers, maintain reliable delivery operations, and provide consistent customer service.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
