About the Role:
Are you new to the workforce, great with technology, and eager to learn? HWC Custom Cabinetry is looking for a teachable, hard-working individual to join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. We view this as a fantastic starter position and are fully prepared to train the right candidate!
In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring that all incoming materials are verified, undamaged, and promptly distributed. You will also handle outbound staging for our install team and maintain physical shop safety standards.
Schedule:
- 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
What You'll Do:
- Unload, inspect, and check in all physical deliveries within 2 hours of arrival.
- Verify packing slips and update delivery and pricing information using our Innergy system.
- Check in deliveries using the vendor Order Confirmation to verify SKUs and quantities, and inspect packages for damage.
- Take photos of damaged packaging and immediately notify the Purchasing Specialist and Production Manager.
- Ensure all carts with stored products are clearly labeled with the Job Name and Part Number ranges.
- Practice First In, First Out (FIFO) material rotation across all inventory areas.
- Ensure all morning install orders are fully wrapped, appropriately labeled, and staged by 6:00 a.m.
- Maintain clean, unobstructed pathways throughout the receiving area.
- Serve as the primary operational backup for the Purchasing & Inventory Specialist.
What We Are Looking For:
- A stellar work ethic, a positive attitude, and a high comfort level with technology (tablets, software).
- While 1+ years of warehouse, receiving, or material handling experience is usually required, we are highly willing to train an eager, tech-savvy candidate who is new to the workforce.
- You must be proficient in written and oral English.
- You will need the ability to pass an internal Forklift Operator certification if you are not already certified.
- You must be able to maintain a brisk physical pace and frequently lift or carry materials up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50+ lbs with assistance.
Work Environment:
- You will be working in an active manufacturing warehouse, receiving dock, and material storage areas.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
