Job Summary
Responsibilities and Duties
- Sand and finish solid surface countertops, panels or other structures and assemblies
- Apply beef up and substrates as required
- Prepare field seam supports
- Package, palletize, stage and load complete products for delivery and installation; ensure all parts are accounted for
- Maintain sanding equipment daily used in performance of job duties
- Perform job in cost-effective manner
- Always perform Job safely
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment; daily general housekeeping
- Maintain a positive attitude toward personal, department, and company goals
- Have respect for fellow employees and customers
- Assist in other areas of the shop as needed or directed
- Be on time and present for work daily
- Take responsibility for getting the work done in a timely manner
- Willing to share in any overtime
- Helping crate product for shipment as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Ability to read shop drawings, blueprints and cut lists (preferred but not required)
- Ability to handle high dust environment and wear safety mask if/when needed
- Ability to visually differentiate between colors and textures (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced environment
- Basic communication skills
- Team player
- Math skills such as adding, subtracting, division, decimals and fractions.
- High attention to detail, focusing on quality and accuracy.
- Positive attitude
- Clean and neat appearance
