Responsibilities
- Adapt and implement age-appropriate lesson plans using Pro-Care's Learning Beyond Paper curriculum, that aligns with ECE standards and meets accreditation guidelines.
- Engage with and manage a group of young children effectively using appropriate classroom & behavior management skills and strategies.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking student progress, documenting activities, and communicating with parents or guardians.
- Foster positive relationships with children by providing nurturing care, guidance, and conflict management when necessary.
- Create and maintain a predictable classroom environment, engaging children in their learning experience and daily routines to promote independence and self-regulation.
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, meal services, and supplies needed and establish positive, ongoing and effective communication with parents.
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and lessons, when possible, to ensure inclusive learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Must meet DCFS Teacher qualification (60 college credits with 6 in ECE plus 1560 hours in a licensed/structured educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and early childhood education.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools such as ProCare software.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively engaging children, parents and teammates.
- Ability and eagerness to plan and implement engaging environments, lessons and activities that encourage exploration and learning.

Pay: $19.25 - $21.00 per hour
