POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Metal Department Kitter
REPORTS:
JOB SUMMARY: The Kitter is responsible for working with areas within the metal plant and other departments to ensure product and inventory is dispersed and allocated appropriately.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
- Identify and report damaged product found while performing counts
- Research inventory discrepancies
- Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)
- Solve complex problems and deal with a variety of inventory control situations.
- Perform assigned job duties under constant time pressures.
- Capability of and willingness to use warehouse machinery (scissor lift, forklifts etc.)
- Develop and maintain working relationships with Supervisors, Managers, and fellow associates within the facility.

- Fluent in MS Office and Excel
- Demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills; a strong team player
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles and operations
