We are seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative (OSR) to join our team. This full‑time, salaried role includes uncapped commission and ongoing bonuses, with a starting salary range of $60,000–$90,000 per year.
Position Overview
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding Celtic’s footprint throughout the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT). This role requires proactive outreach, jobsite visits, cold calling, and close collaboration with the Inside Sales team to service existing accounts.
Core Responsibilities
- Spend 85%–90% of time generating new business from prospective customers
- Spend 10%–15% of time servicing existing customers in partnership with the Inside Sales Representative (ISR)
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, project managers, purchasers, and key industry decision-makers
- Conduct jobsite visits and source new customers across the tri-state area
- Participate in meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed
- Maintain continuous product knowledge and stay informed on industry trends
- Meet or exceed all sales goals and performance metrics
Required Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional customer service skills
- 3–5 years of aggressive inside or outside sales experience
- 1–3 years of building materials, building supply, or related industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of contractors, vendors, and competitors in the tri-state area
- Ability to manage high-volume phone and email communication
- Basic CRM knowledge or experience using organizational tools to manage a book of business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Mail, Calendar, Word, and Excel
- Strong problem-solving abilities
