Maintenance Technician/Preventative Maintenance Opening (2nd Shift)
Peak Foods LLC. is a joint venture between Interstate Food Processing Corporation and Lakeside Foods. Our state-of-the-art plant, located in Troy Ohio, produces private branded whipped topping products for the retail, foodservice and industrial sectors. We have an immediate opening within our Maintenance department. This position will be responsible for supporting our 2nd shift operations. Competencies are as follows:
THE TECHNNICIAN WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- Perform Preventative Maintenance Work.
- Assist in repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
- Build and install various types of equipment and fixtures.
- Assist on any other project or job assigned by Maintenance Leaders.
- Work weekends and overtime as necessary.
- Willingness to learn new skills in both a classroom environment and on-the-job training.
- Conduct yourself in a "team spirit of cooperation" throughout the company.
- Answer calls daily from production floor. Work side by side with members of the production to facilitate an on-time production schedule.
- Follow all Food Safety and Personal Safety Guidelines established within company policy.
- Provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs on production equipment.
- Detect faulty operations and defective material and report findings to supervisors.
- Able to follow all safety, attendance, GMP, and HR policies set for the by Peak Foods LLC.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
All technicians must have either technical schooling or on the job training or 2 years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility troubleshooting and working with mechanical systems. Technicians must possess an understanding of (PLC, Servo, Motion, VFD's) and/or electrical knowledge.
Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effectively use all other computer programs that are or will be made available. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and or schedule form.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
