Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code). Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system installations with precision using appropriate power tools and hand tools.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently.
- Work on industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage wiring, and industrial control panels.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure, perform upgrades or renovations as needed, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70 standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to execute electrical wiring tasks, reading blueprints accurately for installation purposes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, troubleshooting logs, and compliance records.
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Professional Electrician with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical work.
- Extensive experience working with industrial electrical systems, high-voltage wiring, and commercial electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently in fast-paced environments like construction sites or renovation projects.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, and industrial controls is highly desirable.
- Construction site experience combined with handyman skills or frame carpentry knowledge is a plus for versatile project support.
