Hillside Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in St. Louis. Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
Partner with the Nursing Home Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
Ensure CMS compliance, regulatory readiness, and successful state survey performance.
Oversee resident care, clinical documentation, infection prevention, and quality assurance initiatives.
Lead staff education, orientation, ongoing clinical training, and leadership development.
Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff.
Drive improvements in Quality Measures, staffing, resident satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Provide calm, decisive leadership in a changing healthcare environment while maintaining a strong focus on quality resident care.
Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state license eligible for Missouri practice.
Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
Required experience caring for residents with behavioral health diagnoses, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and other complex clinical needs.
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey process, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated success in staff development, clinical education, leadership coaching, and team building.
Ability to lead through change, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and achieve measurable quality improvements.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
