Practices are Monday- Thursday 6pm-10pm
Starting in December-June we have weekend tournaments, this schedule varies.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement engaging training sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.
- Organize and lead practices, ensuring all players are actively participating and improving their volleyball skills.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages communication, respect, and camaraderie among players.
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to help them reach their individual goals.
- Coordinate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about team activities, schedules, and player development.
- Manage game day preparations including warm-ups, strategy discussions, and post-game evaluations.
- Maintain a safe environment during practices and games by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in volleyball or related team sports.
- Strong background in teaching or mentoring youth in physical education or athletics.
- Lifeguard experience is a plus for ensuring safety during water-related activities if applicable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to effectively engage with students of varying skill levels.
- Knowledge of other sports such as basketball, cheerleading, karate, judo, climbing, or martial arts is beneficial.
- Experience working with students in a childcare or educational setting to promote holistic development.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, parents, and staff members.
