American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in Baton Rouge requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and the ability to take call, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Located in a hospital Cath Lab/IR setting in Baton Rouge, LA
-
Standard procedure hours are 0800–1630, with flexibility required for earlier or later procedures

4x10-hour day shifts, 0700–1730
-
Call is divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend, covering all after-hours, weekend, and holiday shifts

Weekend call runs from close of business Friday through department opening Monday morning, with an expectation to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of being notified

IR and Cardiac Cath Lab teams work closely together and may be asked to assist one another as needed

Active LA RN license or compact RN license (must be currently in hand)

Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS

Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/IR nursing experience required

Competency in conscious sedation and monitoring and recording procedures in the IR department required

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted

RTO requests should be disclosed and discussed during the interview process

Upon accepting an assignment, travelers may be assigned to an emergency team by their unit manager, with an expectation to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team during an emergency event — candidates who are not comfortable with this requirement should not apply
