Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth seating process. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the high standards of our establishment. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant settings is preferred, along with excellent communication and guest relations skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Handle guest inquiries with professionalism via phone and in person
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
- Uphold guest service standards by providing courteous assistance throughout their visit
- Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods to optimize seating efficiency
Skills
- Prior experience as a Host or Host, especially in food service or restaurant environments
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in hotel or guest services is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
