Hours: Part-time Monday-Thursday, 20-30 hours per week, with the potential to become full-time
Pay : $20 per hour
Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities of the Building Department Assistant are scheduling inspections through the building department, organizing building files, receiving building permits, receipting of monies payable to the Township through the various departments and general administrative duties for the Township Administration. Also serves as first point of contact with the general public by receiving and greeting visitors and/or callers; determining individual needs and providing assistance by giving directions, information, and written materials to the appropriate department or official. Assists various departments within the administrative office as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college or Associates degree preferred.
Excellent customer service, verbal communication and written communication skills
Knowledge of proper cash handling/payment processing procedure
Ability to constructively deal with conflict and afford effective resolution
Ability to work efficiently with multiple interruptions
