We are seeking dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidates will possess a comprehensive clinical background, demonstrating expertise across various specialties including emergency medicine, critical care, long-term care, and outpatient settings. RNs will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, utilizing advanced skills in medical documentation, patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical procedures. This position offers an opportunity to work in diverse environments such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health settings, ensuring comprehensive support for patients of all ages and needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques.
- Perform specialized procedures including IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable.
- Provide acute pain management and participate in trauma medicine protocols within Level I or Level II trauma center environments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or hospice care services.
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards and ensure patient safety through proper documentation of medical records and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Support patients across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home care visits, or assisted living facilities while demonstrating physiology knowledge and patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current licensure in the relevant state or region.
- Extensive clinical experience in areas such as emergency room medicine, ICU or PICU experience, cardiac catheterization units, or surgical/medical-surgical wards.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and patient records management.
- Demonstrated skills in critical care procedures such as airway management, ventilator support, neonatal resuscitation procedures (NRP), or dialysis treatments.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and familiarity with laboratory testing processes.
- Strong communication skills complemented by the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or trauma centers.
- Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or specialized training in occupational health or hospice & palliative medicine are preferred.
