As a Domestic Logistics Planner, you will develop, plan and interpret inbound and outbound scheduling needs to meet business and financial objectives. You will also analyze distribution requirements, store labor concerns, physical requirements, federal and local regulations and carrier constraints to develop pick, load and delivery schedules to ensure efficient flow of goods through each distribution center. You must provide consultation and or expert advice to all company and external management partners. Audit, process and negotiate freight claims and billing exceptions with minimal supervision. Respond to store inquiries which need immediate courses of action during time away from office.
This is a Monday-Friday, hybrid position, with the need for flexibility in schedule. You will be working weekends as needed, with participation in the on-call rotation.

What You’ll Do
- Track and trace carrier trailer locations assigned for loading (PINC)
-
On-call responsibilities rotation (after hours and weekends)
-
Flow of merchandise through the distribution centers and into the stores and DC’s in the most cost effective manner.
- Provide expert advice with all internal company contacts and external partners regarding the movement of freight, equipment availability, capacity issues and freight payments.

Provide guidance and recommendations to management regarding carrier performance and possible replacement of carriers.

Foster and maintain excellent customer service relationships with all internal and external partners.

Respond and rectify store, vendor and distribution inquires immediately without supervisor approval or intervention.
- Perform various tasks within all transportations related software management systems in an accurate and timely manner.

Ensure all carriers are knowledgeable of pick-up and delivery expectations.

Ensure all delivery information is updated to appropriate status within the TMS, WMS and YMS.

Validate P.O. integrity and maintain information in keeping company inventory management teams informed on the status of freight.

Identify changes and recommend solutions to improve processes and information integrity.

Monitor carrier performance “On Time” service levels and make recommendations to improve levels as needed.

Trace the progress of inbound and outbound shipments and carriers to ensure expectations are met.

Ensure all daily/weekly/monthly reports are completed accurately and on time.

Provide assistance to fellow planners as needed due to fluctuations in volume or staffing needs.

You will spend up to 3 days per week on average at our Stockton, CA Distribution Center
Experience & Skills You’ll Bring

High School Diploma with 3-5 years transportation related experience preferred.

Proven ability to consistently make significant independent financial decisions on a daily basis with minimal supervision
- Must be self-motivated with ability to work independently
-
Demonstrate previous transportation planning, scheduling, negotiating and billing/auditing experience

Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Ability to operate with various software programs such as but limited to, TMS, WMS, Microsoft Office and other programs as needed.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in a high energy work environment
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Strong analytical and math skills required
CA Pay Range is $80,000 - $90,000 annually
Full time and Part time associates are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan after three (3) months of service.
