Duties
- Provide clinical supervision to licensed clinicians (LMFT, LCSW, LCPC) and behavioral technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Oversee intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and progress monitoring for clients with mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders.
- Lead individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma-informed care.
- Manage crisis intervention efforts, including crisis management and crisis response protocols, ensuring safety for clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises.
- Facilitate case management activities by coordinating services with families, schools (special education), community agencies, and healthcare providers to support holistic client care.
- Ensure accurate documentation of medical records, clinical notes, treatment plans, and billing using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Promote a positive clinical team environment through leadership in clinical research initiatives, data collection efforts, and quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), or APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) with a focus on mental health or behavioral health.
- Proven experience supervising clinical staff in mental health or behavioral health settings with knowledge of clinical team leadership principles.
- Strong background in delivering psychotherapy modalities such as CBT, behavioral therapy, social work practices, child & family counseling, and addiction counseling.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Familiarity with intake procedures, diagnostic evaluation using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems, CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology relevant to mental health conditions.
- Skilled in crisis management techniques including crisis intervention strategies for individuals with PTSD or other trauma-related conditions.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds while maintaining sensitivity to individual needs in home & community care environments.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR management systems along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and family collaboration; experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders is preferred.
