Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Paint Line Production Lead to support daily production operations on an automated paint and finishing line. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring the paint line, feeding products into the system, maintaining consistent production flow, and ensuring finished products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor an automated paint and finishing line.
- Feed products into the paint line safely and efficiently.
- Monitor products throughout the finishing process.
- Maintain a consistent flow of materials through the production line.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential production issues.
- Inspect products for finish quality and consistency.
- Identify and communicate quality, equipment, or production concerns.
- Follow production specifications and established work instructions.
- Assist with line setup, adjustments, and changeovers as trained.
- Coordinate with production team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Maintain an organized supply of materials needed for production.
- Follow all safety procedures when working around automated equipment and finishing operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support additional production responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, painting, or finishing experience preferred.
- Experience working with automated production equipment is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to recognize inconsistencies or defects in finished products.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Safety-conscious with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment involving automated paint and finishing equipment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements.
- Regular handling and movement of products throughout the finishing process.
- Exposure to machinery, production equipment, paint and finishing processes, and typical manufacturing noise.
- Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be comfortable working around automated production machinery.
