Responsibilities
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential hazards or unauthorized access
- Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials of visitors and employees
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or vandalism
- Manage conflict situations professionally, de-escalating disputes and ensuring safety for all parties involved
- Follow established security protocols and procedures at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in security or related fields is preferred
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems
- Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly to emergencies
- Effective communication skills for reporting incidents and coordinating with team members
- Ability to work independently with keen attention to detail
