Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant and Office Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, assisting with month-end close, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, trustworthy, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with reconciling bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Assist with financial statements and management reports
- Monitor customer accounts and assist with collections as needed
- Process vendor invoices and maintain vendor records
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Assist with inventory and cost accounting activities, as applicable
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation
- Assist with payroll, tax filings, and other financial reporting requirements
- Ensure accounting activities comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards
- Support the management team with special projects and financial analysis
- Maintain organized company records, files, and documentation
- Coordinate office supplies, equipment, services, and facility needs
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or equipment-related business
- Experience with Prophet 21 or Epicor Kinetic ERP systems
- Experience with Adobe or Canvas software
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
