Job Summary:
As an Apprentice Installer, you will be an integral part of our construction team, working under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn the principles and practices of commercial construction installations. The primary focus of this role is to gain expertise in the installation of Section 10 interior components, such as toilet partitions, accessories, lockers, marker & tack boards, shower doors, mirrors, shelving, mailboxes and many other products.
Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced installers in the proper installation of products and material according to project plans and specifications.
- Learn to use and maintain various hand and power tools essential for commercial construction installations.
- Assist in preparing job sites by organizing materials, clearing debris, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Observe and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
- Develop an understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and project documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance construction knowledge and skills.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and task completion.
- Seek guidance from foreman to overcome challenges and improve installation techniques.
- Embrace a proactive attitude towards learning and skill development to progress as a competent installer.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from experienced installers.
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in commercial construction and becoming a skilled Section 10 installer.
- Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Prior experience in construction or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
