Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
- Review patient records to ensure all procedures are correctly coded with CPT and ICD-10 codes
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collections processes and communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain comprehensive medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify billing details and ensure accurate documentation of medical services
- Generate detailed reports on billing activities
Experience
- Proven experience in medical billing or healthcare claims management within a medical office environment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (CPT and ICD-10), and healthcare claims processing
- Familiarity with billing software, EMR systems
- Understanding of health insurance policies, benefits verification, and medical collections procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives
- Prior experience handling medical records accurately while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards
