Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the administrator, designated supervisor, or Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP).
- Provide building activities.
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as maintaining cleanliness, meal preparation, running errands, and grocery shopping.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
- Facilitate community engagement and social activities, fostering the development of social skills.
- Develop and implement individual treatment schedules for residents.
- Provide transportation to appointments as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Medication Administration Certification required. (Paid for by Bluebird upon Hiring)
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Current and valid car insurance.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check. (Paid for by Bluebird)
- CPR and First Aid certification required. (Paid for by Bluebird upon hiring)
- Be willing to work around an elderly well-behaved dog
