At Trident Smiles, we’re building something special—a modern, patient-centered dental practice rooted in relationships, comfort, and high-quality care. Our office blends family dentistry with advanced cosmetic and implant services, and we’re looking for a Dental Assistant who thrives in a team-first, positive environment.
This role is unique—you’ll work closely with our hygiene team to elevate the patient experience, support clinical efficiency, and help deliver a consistent standard of care.
Why This Role is Different
Most dental assistant roles focus heavily on doctor-side procedures.
This role is designed to support hygiene flow and patient experience, which is a critical part of how we care for patients.
You’ll help ensure:
- Patients feel comfortable, cared for, and never rushed
- Hygiene appointments run smoothly and on time
- Clinical standards are maintained consistently
What You’ll Do
Hygiene Support (Primary Focus):
- Assist hygienists during periodontal therapy (SRP), exams, and charting
- Help maintain efficient room turnover between patients
- Take radiographs (FMX, BWX) and intraoral photos
- Support patient education (oral hygiene, treatment explanations, post-op care)
- Ensure rooms are fully prepared and stocked for hygiene procedures
Clinical & Office Support:
- Sterilization and infection control (maintaining OSHA/CDC standards)
- Help with operatory setup and breakdown
- Assist doctor-side when needed (fill-ins, procedures, etc.)
- Maintain organized, clean operatories and lab areas
What We’re Looking For
- DA II (NC) – new grads welcome
- Must have radiology and coronal polishing certifications in NC.
- Strong team player with a positive, dependable attitude
- Comfortable working in a structured, patient-first environment
- Ability to stay organized and keep pace without cutting corners
- Strong communication skills with patients and team members
Our Clinical Philosophy
We don’t cut corners—and we don’t rush through care.
- 1-hour hygiene appointments
- Emphasis on comprehensive periodontal care
- Focus on patient education and long-term relationships
- Technology-driven, but always patient-first
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
- Monthly team-based bonus system
- Paid Time Off
- Consistent schedule: 8–5 (Mon–Th), 1-hour lunch (1–2 PM)
- Supportive, drama-free team culture
Who This is Perfect For
- A dental assistant who enjoys working closely with hygienists
- Someone who values quality over speed
- A team player who wants to grow in a modern, well-run practice
- Someone looking for a long-term “home,” not just a job
