Job Overview
Candidates should have experience in handling complex commercial disputes in a law firm setting and demonstrated litigation experience in the federal and state courts in New York, including the Commercial Division in New York County. Candidates must have a strong academic background with superior and sophisticated writing skills.
Excellent research, outstanding communication abilities, and strong work ethic are essential.
Additionally, the candidate must have a proven track record of taking ownership of, and handling and managing, commercial litigation cases independently and in teams.
Clerkship experience is a plus.
Must be admitted to practice in New York.
Duties
- Manage all phases of commercial litigation cases, including case assessment, strategy development, and trial preparation
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case arguments and procedural law requirements
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
- Represent clients in court depositions, hearings, mediations, and negotiations to advocate effectively on their behalf
- Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives, provide strategic legal advice, and maintain clear communication throughout the case lifecycle
- Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, coordinating witness testimony, and developing compelling legal arguments
- Stay current on developments in general & commercial litigation, employment law cases, statutory legal research, and relevant regulations including tribal law & regulations
Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Commercial Litigation: 3 years (Required)
- Real Estate Litigation: 3 years (Preferred)
