Intermountain Specialty Gases, a family owned business, located in Caldwell Idaho, has an immediate opening for either an entry level or experienced Chemist. ISG manufactures specialty gases for the purpose of calibrating fixed and portable gas detection monitors and equipment. We are looking for an exceptional individual who wants to be a part of a fast growing, team oriented, customer focused company. Starting pay is DOE.
Examples of Responsibilities
- Make primary gas standards and reference materials,
- Analyzing gas standards through FTIR and Gas Chromatology,
- Prepare formulations for gas standards,
- Analyze and interpret data from instrumentation,
Education
- B.S. Chemistry, Biology or similar degree,
- Analytical laboratory experience (desired)
Skill & Qualifications
- HAVE AN EXCEPTIONAL ATTITUDE FOR LIFE AND WORK,
- Candidate should be dependable, flexible, goal orientated, aptitude for detail, solution orientated, innovative, customer focused, ability to work independently and in a group,
- QC analytical methods for FTIR, NDIR, Electrochemical, Chemiluminescence and Gas Chromatology (not all are required),
- Strong communication and writing skills,
- Microsoft Office skills are required which include Work, Excel, Access and Outlook,
- Resolving customer concerns to their satisfaction.
This is a full-time position (M-F, 8-5)
