Position Overview
FG Venture is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cannabis Garden & Post-Harvest Lead to join our licensed cannabis production and processing facility in Arlington, Washington.
This is a hands-on hybrid position. Approximately 70% of the employee’s time will be spent supporting cultivation and garden operations, with the remaining time focused on post-harvest processing, trimming, curing, packaging, laboratory coordination, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
The right candidate is organized, physically capable, comfortable working in a fast-paced agricultural environment, and willing to help wherever needed. This position requires pride in product quality, strong communication, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.

Primary Responsibilities
Cultivation and garden support — approximately 70%
- Assist the cultivation team with daily plant care and general garden operations
- Support plant movement, room preparation, harvesting, cleanup, and other production needs
- Clean and sanitize grow equipment, cultivation areas, bins, tools, and work surfaces
- Follow cultivation SOPs, sanitation procedures, and biosecurity practices
- Identify and promptly report plant-health, environmental, pest, mold, or equipment concerns
- Work efficiently as part of the cultivation team and assist in other operational areas as assigned
Post-harvest and processing
- Monitor and manage drying and curing conditions
- Determine when batches are ready to transition from drying into curing
- Help protect product quality, including terpene profile, aroma, density, flavor, and appearance
- Prepare cannabis for trimming and coordinate weekly trim-crew workflow
- Monitor trimming quality and consistency
- Operate the trim machine to prepare material for joint production
- Organize finished flower, trim, and joint material
- Clean and sanitize trim machines, bins, scissors, processing equipment, grow equipment, and work areas
- Immediately report mold, contamination, or other product-quality concerns
Packaging, inventory, and order fulfillment
- Accurately weigh and package cannabis products
- Maintain correct bag and jar weights
- Print, verify, and apply compliant labels
- Maintain accurate inventory records in GrowFlow
- Organize vault inventory and storage areas
- Assist with wholesale, retail, and processor-to-processor order fulfillment
- Verify product quantities, packaging, labels, and manifests before orders leave the facility
- Assist with deliveries and product transfers when needed
Quality assurance and laboratory coordination
- Prepare and track required quality-assurance samples
- Coordinate sample submissions with licensed testing laboratories
- Email laboratories regarding testing, results, timelines, and follow-up questions
- Conduct product-, compliance-, or laboratory-related research as assigned
- Maintain organized records of samples, submissions, and results
- Promptly communicate testing delays, failures, or product concerns to leadership
Communication and reporting
- Provide clear inventory, processing, order, and product-status updates
- Maintain accurate records in GrowFlow and other company systems
- Report quality, environmental, operational, or safety concerns promptly
- Participate in weekly team meetings
- Communicate professionally through email, Slack, and in-person discussions
- Complete assigned reporting accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work in a Washington State licensed cannabis facility
- Previous cannabis cultivation, post-harvest, agricultural, manufacturing, or production experience strongly preferred
- Experience with drying, curing, trimming, packaging, or inventory management preferred
- Comfortable spending most of the workday performing hands-on cultivation and cleaning duties
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and product-quality standards
- Able to work independently while also supporting a team
- Able to follow SOPs and maintain accurate compliance records
- Comfortable using computers and learning operational software
- Proficiency with GrowFlow, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required if performing company deliveries
- Dependable attendance and ability to consistently begin work at 5:30 a.m.
Physical and Working Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working around bright grow lights, plants, soil or growing media, humidity, strong odors, dust, and cleaning products
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility sanitation procedures
- Willingness to perform frequent cleaning and other physically demanding production tasks
