Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom lessons on traffic laws, safe driving practices, and defensive driving techniques to diverse student groups.
- Conduct practical behind-the-wheel training sessions for standard passenger cars, motorcycles, and off-road vehicles, ensuring students develop confidence and competence.
- Teach specialized driving skills including night driving, highway maneuvers, adverse weather driving techniques, and off-road instruction.
- Implement driver rehabilitation programs for individuals seeking to improve their driving skills or regain licensing privileges.
- Adapt teaching methods for adult learners and students with special needs to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, maintaining a positive atmosphere that encourages student participation and safety awareness.
- Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior driver instruction with a strong understanding of standard passenger car operation and motorcycle safety instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to teach both online and in-person classes effectively across various skill levels.
- Expertise in manual transmission vehicle operation, highway maneuvers, night driving, adverse weather techniques, and off-road driving instruction.
- Knowledge of special needs driver instruction and teen driver education best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students of all ages while maintaining classroom management.
- Experience delivering defensive driving instruction and driver rehabilitation programs is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; proficiency in working with diverse student populations is essential.
