Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will design and facilitate engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a lively, inclusive atmosphere where residents feel valued, supported, and inspired to participate in meaningful social experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages social interaction and participation
- Assist residents with activity participation, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
- Maintain activity schedules and record resident engagement and feedback
- Collaborate with staff to integrate activities into overall care plans
- Ensure all activities comply with safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Use technical tools such as activity planning software or devices to enhance program delivery
Requirements
- Associate degree in recreation & leisure, human services, healthcare, or a related field.
- Experience in event planning for groups of 6-36.
- Proven experience in activity planning or working with seniors or vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable
- Valid driving license with the ability to operate transportation for outings or errands.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Technical proficiency in using digital devices or activity management tools.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
