Project Manager Responsibilities Include:
Job brief:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Professional to oversee projects from a post-bid phase to final installation or delivery. We are an architecturally minded manufacturer of elevator doors, entrances, and cab interiors. Within this seemingly narrow scope, myriad details require careful attention. The ideal candidate will serve as a central hub, directing communication among the estimating, engineering, purchasing, fabrication, and shipping departments. Specific knowledge of our industry is a plus, but not required. What is required is the ability to learn well and respond adeptly to our clients. Excellent organizational and time management skills will allow the candidate to succeed.
The right candidate will:
- Manage most aspects of elevator cab and entrances build-out from bid acceptance to execution of project – projects can be as small as 1 elevator to 30+ elevators per site.
- Oversee submittals to clients of all samples for approval
- Create bi-weekly client status reports and conduct meetings in the office or via phone
- Produce a well-organized schedule to ensure project milestones are met.
- Communicate regularly with clients to develop the job.
- Organize all Project related documents including proposals, change orders, architectural drawings, engineering layouts, and delivery receipts.
- Oversee the timely ordering of all materials required to produce the job.
- Evaluate the progress of the job and overall success of delivering the correct product in the most efficient way.
- Familiarity with architectural drawings/ fabrication drawings required.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and internal office policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a project manager
- In-depth understanding of project management principles and procedures
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Familiarity with quality and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software (We utilize “Teamwork” in our office)
- Outstanding communication.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities

- Salary: commensurate with experience
- 8:00 am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday

A & D Entrances specializes in the manufacturing of Elevator Cabs, Frames & Doors. Our 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility is conveniently located in Wyandanch, NY, servicing the New York City Metropolitan area. We have been in business since 2007 and are growing rapidly, employing over 100 employees. We currently run approximately 400+ projects, ranging from small residential buildings to large commercial high-rises. We have three UL 90 Min Fire Rated Label Certifications; one being the only company to acquire a 10-foot label.
