Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, patient, and supportive Paraprofessional / Behavior Intervention Specialist to provide one-on-one academic, behavioral, and organizational support to a 12th-grade student enrolled in a virtual charter school.
This is an in-person position in Irvine, CA, working directly with the student in a home setting. The ideal candidate will help support coursework, organization, study habits, time management, and positive behavior strategies while encouraging the student’s independence and academic success.
Responsibilities
● Provide support with online coursework and assignments
● Implement behavior intervention strategies to support focus, task completion, and engagement
● Help the student stay organized and manage deadlines
● Reinforce study skills, structure, accountability, and self-management
● Encourage independence, positive routines, and consistent work habits
● Support development of appropriate academic behaviors and executive functioning skills
Qualifications
● Experience working with high school students preferred
● Background in behavior intervention, paraprofessional work, tutoring, or academic support is a plus
● Patient, dependable, and able to build positive rapport with teens
● Comfortable working one-on-one in a home environment
● Experience supporting executive functioning or behavioral goals strongly preferred
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, specifically in high school providing behavior support services

● Schedule: 2 days per week, 3 hours per day (6 hours total weekly)
● Student: 12th-grade male, virtual charter school
Pay: $25.50 - $35.00 per hour
