This position supports a mission-critical federal application portfolio spanning Java/Spring Boot microservices and a Java/ReactJS business application executing statutory and functional changes.
Position Overview
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: Remote (U.S.) with occasional on-site meetings in the Washington, DC area
- Target Salary Range: $130,000 – $155,000 / year (Note: Final offer is subject to candidate experience and expectations)
- Position Contingency: Contingent upon contract award (Anticipated award: September 2026; Estimated start date: November 17, 2026)
As a Senior Full Stack Java Developer, you will develop, refactor, document, and sustain secure Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and API-based applications in an outcome-based delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack Development: Develop and sustain Java/Spring Boot backend services/APIs and ReactJS front-end web components.
- Functional & Legislative Changes: Implement legislative, functional, and security updates with clear traceability from requirements to code.
- Validation & Testing: Perform unit checks, smoke validation, and produce test evidence packages for Government acceptance.
- Vulnerability Remediation: Execute approved security fixes, remediate code vulnerabilities, and provide verification evidence.
- Release Engineering: Produce as-built documentation, deployment instructions, and update operational runbooks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience:
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 4 years with Java / Spring Boot in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
- At least 2 years with ReactJS (or comparable modern JS frameworks).
- Technical Expertise:
- REST APIs, SQL/relational databases, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
- OpenShift or Kubernetes container platform familiarity.
- Secure coding principles and OWASP vulnerability remediation.
- Clearance & Security:
- Must possess U.S. work authorization.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Moderate Risk Public Trust (MBI level) background investigation.
