Base Salary $53,092 (The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the candidate selected is eligible for a years-of-service pay differential, it will be added to the total compensation. A pay differential does not raise the base pay.)
Job Location: Division of Professional Registration, Real Estate Appraisers Commission/Committee for Social Workers/Board for Respiratory Care/Board of Occupational Therapy/Office to Tattooing, Body Piercing & Branding, 3605 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109. This is an in-office position.

The position will be responsible for leading a team that is responsible for processing and reviewing applications and complaints. Candidates must have good, effective communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, make routine decisions, organize workflow and establish priorities and deadlines. Candidate must be able to maintain effective working relationships and have ability to oversee and coordinate support functions to attain work objectives.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Manage, train and direct staff, including providing technical and administrative assistance, monitoring their workload, and communicating directives and assignments;
- Be able to perform all aspects of the licensing support positions in the event of absence or vacant position;
- Prepare and post agendas and attend board meetings and conference calls to take and transcribe minutes;
- Assure timely and accurate processing of applications, printing/mail services, along with scanning of documents for record retention;
- Review and evaluate all complex and/or problematic applications and determine whether application warrants further review by executive director and/or board/committee members;
- Direct or assist staff with the resolution of non-routine telephone and written inquiries regarding licensure;
- Assist in promulgation of proposed rule changes;
- Provide technical assistance to executive director, counsel, investigators and members of the boards on licensing and administrative issues.

What we are looking for:
Minimum Qualifications
- Four or more years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, or closely related field AND up to two years relevant experience.(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in the areas of business or public administration may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience)
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
