Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team! Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as clover POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including handling cash safely and providing correct change
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including food preparation details, wine pairings, and beverage options such as spirits and cocktails
- Ensure food safety standards are met by following sanitation protocols during food handling and serving
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Support opening or closing procedures as required, including cleaning duties and POS system checks
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as clover POS for order processing and sales transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills seamlessly
- Food safety certification or understanding of sanitation standards in the food industry
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members including hosts/hostesses, kitchen staff, and bartenders
- Experience with clover or similar reservation systems is advantageous
- Passion for hospitality with a friendly attitude that enhances guest experiences
