Wholey's Market, 1711 Penn Avenue, in Pittsburgh's historic Strip District is celebrating 111 years in business and is seeking candidates for immediate openings for Cashiers. These positions are an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build upon their experience, work ethic, and passion for customer service to be a part of the growth and success of our market. You would be scheduled 5 days between the hours of 8:00 and 5:15pm, and must be available to work any day of the week. As a member of the Customer Service team, your primary focus will be checking out customers as well as some front-end duties. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of cashier experience. However, we will train the right person if they have the right attitude and willingness to work. To truly be successful here, you must be a team player first!!! The successful candidate must be able to pass a background check.

For those working 5 days per week, our wage starts at $13.75 and progresses to $17.40+ over the next 24 months

Reponsibilites:
Accurately check out customers as they finish their shopping in Retailix POS system.
Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers by answering questions they may have.
End of day remove outside signs.
Replenish ice in the bin to enable customers to add ice to their product after checking out.
Maintain cleanliness of department and work area.
Properly handle product and equipment in accordance with food safety guidelines to ensure your personal safety and the safety of your co-workers as well as customer safety.Assist in other areas as required which could include other departments. Stock cases: presentation of product, facing, filling displays and hot foods.
Must be able to pass a background check.
