Dietary Cook
Waynesburg Nursing & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Cook to join our team! We take pride in providing nutritious, well-prepared meals to our residents, and we’re looking for someone who shares our passion for serving others with care and excellence.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals in accordance with menus, dietary restrictions, and portion control standards
Ensure food is handled, prepared, and stored safely, following all health and sanitation guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area
Assist with inventory, ordering, and proper food storage
Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and dietary staff to provide an exceptional dining experience for residents
Accommodate special diets as ordered by physicians or dietitians
Qualifications:
Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or a commercial kitchen setting
Knowledge of safe food handling practices and dietary guidelines
Strong organizational and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
ServSafe certification (preferred, but not required)
